Tony attributes his humility to the values instilled in him by his parents. The interviewer then asked Tony which is more important for an entrepreneur, authority or humility. Tony replied that Humility is 100% more important. He believes that authority should not be wielded like a sword or a gun and that if an entrepreneur wants people to follow them, they must connect with them on an individual basis.
The interviewer then remarked that if an entrepreneur uses authority, they will be left alone and Tony agreed. The conversation is about the importance of employees in businesses. The speaker discussed Gary Vee's evolution from promoting hustle and grind to being kind to his employees and treating them like peers. The host then mentioned Tony's participation in Toastmasters, which is an organization that helps people develop their motivational speaking skills.
